# Using the TV guide

Live TV lives in the **Live** tab. It's available when at least one of your sources supports live channels — M3U and Xtream sources do; Plex, Jellyfin, and file storage don't.

## What's on the Live tab

- **Continue Watching** — channels you've watched recently, so your regulars are one tap away.
- **Favorite Channels** — every channel you've bookmarked. See [favorite channels](/support/live-tv/favorite-channels).
- **TV Guide** — a timeline of what's on now and next. The full guide grid across all channels is part of [Dion Pro](/support/getting-started/what-is-dion-pro).
- **Categories** — the channel groups from your provider's playlist. Open one to browse its channels with search and per-channel program info.

## Program data

The guide is powered by EPG data. Xtream sources bring their own guide automatically; M3U channels are matched against Dion's guide service; and you can add your own XMLTV feeds. ## Refresh the guide

Guide data refreshes automatically in the background. To force it, use **Refresh EPG** from the menu in the Live tab — it shows "Refreshing EPG" while it runs.
