# Guide is empty or out of date

Work through these in order — each step fixes the most common cause first.

## 1. Force a refresh

In the **Live** tab, open the menu and tap **Refresh EPG**. Automatic syncs run on a cooldown of about six hours, so a manual refresh is the fastest way to rule out stale data.

## 2. Check your EPG sources

Open **Settings → Sources**, tap your live source, then **Manage EPG**:

- **Xtream** sources should show an automatic "XMLTV" entry. Check its **Last updated** time — if it never updates, your provider's guide feed may be down; ask them for a separate XMLTV URL and add it as a custom source.
- **M3U** sources rely on Dion matching your channels to its guide service. Channels with unusual names may not match — adding your provider's own XMLTV URL as a custom source fills those gaps. See [add or fix EPG sources](/support/live-tv/add-or-fix-epg-sources).
- A directory feed for your country is a quick fallback for major channels.

## 3. Programs shifted by a fixed amount

If everything is off by the same number of hours, edit the EPG source's **Offset** (steps of 30 minutes) until the guide matches what's actually on. This is a feed timezone problem, not a bug on your device.

## 4. Only some channels are empty

That's normal with name matching — those channels didn't match a guide feed. An XMLTV source from your provider (whose channel IDs match its own playlist) is the reliable fix.

## Still stuck?

Send us a report from **Settings → Report a Problem** — see [get help and report a problem](/support/troubleshooting/get-help-and-report-a-problem) — and mention which channels are affected.
