Privacy Policy

Dion respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Data Storage

Credentials for the services you connect to — IPTV provider credentials (M3U, Xtream), Plex and Jellyfin access tokens, and SMB or WebDAV usernames and passwords — along with playlist data, favorites, and watch history, are stored locally on your device (passwords and tokens in the iOS Keychain). This data is never sent to our servers.

iCloud Sync

If you enable cross-device sync, the following data is synced via your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework: provider configurations, favorites, watch progress, and episode tracking. This data is stored in your personal iCloud container and is not accessible to us.

Push Notifications

If you opt in to push notifications, your device token and app version are sent to our server (api.trydion.app) to deliver notifications. We do not associate device tokens with personal information. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, a third-party service. RevenueCat processes your purchase data and subscription status on behalf of Apple's App Store. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or other personal identifiers from Dion. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Media Servers & Network Shares

When you connect Dion to a media server (Plex, Jellyfin) or a network share (SMB, WebDAV), all requests go directly from your device to that server. Your credentials, library contents, and watch progress never pass through our servers. Plex sign-in uses Plex's own OAuth flow on plex.tv; Jellyfin, SMB, and WebDAV connect directly to the server address you provide. If enabled, watch progress can be reported back to the originating server (Plex, Jellyfin) so it stays in sync with their native apps.

Third-Party Services

Dion uses The Movie Database (TMDB) API to enrich content with metadata such as posters, descriptions, cast, and trailers. API requests are made directly from your device to TMDB's servers. No personal data is shared with TMDB.

Data We Do Not Collect

Dion does not collect analytics, usage statistics, advertising identifiers, location data, or any personal information. We do not track your viewing habits or the content you access through your providers, media servers, or network shares.

Data Deletion

You can delete all local data by removing the app from your device. To delete synced data, disable iCloud sync for Dion in your device's iCloud settings. To unregister from push notifications, disable notifications in your device settings or unsubscribe from Dion Pro.
