Connect Plex
Updated
Dion connects to Plex with your Plex account — no server addresses or passwords to type.
- Go to Settings → Sources and choose Plex under Media Centers.
- Sign-in starts automatically.
A browser sheet opens on plex.tv. Sign in with your Plex account, then return to Dion — it detects the approval automatically and continues.
Dion shows a QR code and a short code. On your phone, scan the QR code or visit plex.tv/link and enter the code. Dion continues as soon as Plex confirms the link. If the code expires, a new one is generated automatically.
Your browser opens on plex.tv. Sign in with your Plex account, then return to Dion — it detects the approval automatically and continues.
- Dion loads the servers on your account. With one server it's selected automatically; with several, pick the one you want under Select a Server. You can add the others as separate sources later.
Dion also imports your Plex account's audio and subtitle language preferences so playback starts with the languages you already use.
Good to know
- "No Plex servers found on this account" means your Plex account has no reachable servers — check that your server is online and shared with the account you signed in with.
- If your Plex token expires or you change your password, open the source in Settings → Sources and tap Reauthorize to sign in again.
- For security, Plex sign-in is per-device: Plex sources are not included in Dion's cloud backup, so add Plex on each device where you want it.
